Welcome to the St. Lawrence Family Formation Program! We are excited about helping parents teaching the faith of Jesus Christ to their children. The catechetical ministry of the Catholic Church has been nurtured and renewed in recent years with the publication of three important Church documents, namely the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the General Directory for Catechesis, and the National Directory for Catechesis. All of these documents remind us that families are the first teachers of their children in the faith and that we as catechists joyfully assist parents in leading their children to become disciples of Jesus Christ in the twenty-first century. It is our privilege to assist you, your child’s primary catechist, with their faith formation opertunities here at St. Lawrence. Our foundation are the four pillars of our faith. These are the Creed, Liturgy and the Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer are the foundation we use in forming us and our youth to grow and know Jesus Christ and his bride, the Catholic Church.
